What We Do
Decommissioning & Recycling
of Retired Submarine Cables
Since 2014, Subsea Environmental Services has been recovering Out-of-Service (OOS) submarine telecommunication cables from the seabed and recycling their components. With a proven track record and reputation for delivering viable solutions for our Clients, Subsea continues to grow its business. Our Deep-Water cable portfolio now exceeds 300,000 kms, making us one of the largest owners of OOS cable systems in the world. We also provide the telecom industry with valuable Services such as Shore-End Decommissioning, Route Clearance, Depot Spares Removal and Logistics. Subsea currently has two dedicated cable recovery ships with a third planned for delivery later this year.
Our Mission
A Resource-Recycling Future
Benefitting All Stakeholders
As a pioneer in cable recovery and recycling, we are dedicated to responsibly harnessing the untapped potential of Out-of-Service (OOS) cables. Recycling these obsolete cables and returning their various components to the global supply chain is both a smart and efficient means to upcycle in-demand materials while simultaneously demonstrating marine environmental stewardship. Combining a long-term perspective, deep sector experience and a collaborative approach, Subsea is always looking for newer and better ways to deliver innovative and sustainable solutions that benefit Stakeholders.
