What We Do
Responsible Recovery and Recycling of OOS cables
Subsea Environmental Services recovers retired submarine telecommunication cables from the seabed and recycles their components. We manage each step, from deep-water recovery to depot clearance and logistics, to ensure a safe and efficient process. Post processing, the recovered materials are recycled and reintegrated back into the supply chain, supporting both sound business practices and environmental stewardship
Deep-Water Cable Recovery
Subsea’s fleet of recovery vessels is equipped to remove retired deep-sea telecommunication cables from the ocean floor. Using winches and a skilled recovery team, we locate and retrieve cables with precision, employing grapnels and remotely operated vehicles (ROVs) to securely attach them to our vessels for removal.
Shore-End Removal
Removing shore-end cables requires a specialized approach, utilizing both aquatic vessels and terrestrial excavators. Depending on the cable’s installation date and location, shore-end removal is often necessary. These cables are larger and more complex than their deep-sea counterparts, making the removal process more labor-intensive and requiring meticulous execution.
Depot Clearance
& Logistics Management
Subsea offers expertise in depot clearance and a range of logistical solutions for your cable needs. With extensive experience and solid industry connections, we’re here to support your subsea cable projects effectively.
